SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS.
As a selective school the number of pupils with Special Educational Needs is understandably limited and the provision available offers targeted support to those who have a specific difficulty whilst otherwise being academically able.
The School SEN policy is reviewed annually by the Governing Body and is in line with the new SEN Code of Practice.
The School’s SEN policy includes termly School-Based Reviews where outside agencies (such as the Educational Psychology service) participate and annual reviews of those pupils with Statements of SEN. The SEN co-ordinator works closely with the Heads of Key Stage, Form Teachers, Subject Teachers and Learning Support Assistants as necessary.
